HP14 Program Information

The 2024 CCM Minnesota Hockey High Performance 14 program is designed to provide players born in 2010 the opportunity to train and compete against players of similar age. Eligible players played on a AA/A, or High School team for the 2023-24 season.

Players are nominated to tryout by their AA/A and High School coaches. The District will select and invite players based on nominations. Invites will be emailed.  A nomination alone does not guarantee an invitation to tryouts.

  • Phase 1 ($100 to MN Hockey):  HP 14 begins with player tryouts within the various Minnesota Hockey Districts.  Players will be split into groups and will receive three and a half hours of tryouts.  Tryouts are closed to spectators.
  • Phase 2 ($175 to MN Hockey, $150 to District 6):  District 6 will select up to 30 players who will train for 10 hours with the District coaching staff.  After the pre-festival preparation, 20 players will be selected for participation in the HP 14 Spring Festival.
  • Phase 3 ($200 to MN Hockey, $100 to District 6):  The final 20 will participate in the HP 14 Spring Festival (April 26-28) in Duluth. Teams will play three pre-determined games. The District team will have the opportunity to compete against the other Districts and showcase their skills against the top players from across Minnesota.
  • Phase 4 ($675 to MN Hockey):  The top 120 players will be selected from the Spring Festival to participate in the High Performance 14 Summer Camp, June 10-14 at St. Cloud State University.
